Interested in Hosting a Panel at Bliss Con?

Do you have a discussion topic you’ve always wanted to see covered at a convention?

A niche fandom or new trend you just have to share with others?

Do you like to excite the masses with your intense BL/GL knowledge?

If running a fan panel or workshop is something you’re interested in, then you should apply below.

  1. Panelist Badges: Each approved panel may receive up to two (2) complimentary Panelist Badges. Any additional panelists must purchase a standard attendee badge to participate.

  2. Lead Panelist: The person submitting the application is considered the Lead Panelist and will be the primary contact for Bliss Con. Badge allocations will be based on the names listed on the application.

  3. Badge Pick-Up: Panelist badges must be picked up in person at Registration during normal badge pick-up hours. Badges will not be mailed.

  4. Changes in Schedule: Dates and times for panels are subject to change up until the convention. If your panel is accepted, Bliss Con may provide a tentative date and time, but final date and time will be provided No Earlier than 2 weeks before the convention.

  5. Changes to Panelists: Panelist names are tied to registration. Any changes to the individuals presenting must be approved in advance by Bliss Con. If a change is needed after submission, contact us directly.

You Should Know

When filling out your panel application, please be prepared to provide the following information:

  • Lead Panelist Information – Full name, email, and contact number.

  • Panel Title – A clear, descriptive title for your panel.

  • Panel Description – A short paragraph (100–200 words) describing what your panel is about. This may be edited for the program guide.

  • Panel Format – Discussion, game show, workshop (No performances or q&a sessions are allowed)

  • Target Audience – General audience or 18+ (explicit content).

  • Preferred Length – Standard panels run 30-45 minutes with 15 minutes for panel transition time shared between before and after the panel. Longer requests may be considered if space allows.

  • Technical Needs – (Projector, microphones, audio, etc.). You’ll be responsible for specialty equipment.

  • Additional Panelists – Full names of up to one co-host (if applicable).

Panel Review process

Once panel submissions close it takes a few weeks to complete Approved, Waitlisted, and Rejected notifications. 

  • Approved – the panel will be included on the convention schedule, and you qualify to receive a panelist badge. 

  • Rejected – the panel was not accepted and will not be included in the convention. 

  • Waitlisted – the panel is currently in a pending status, meaning we are interested in hosting the panel at the convention but are not able to include it in the schedule at this time. Waitlisted panels may be moved onto the schedule if other panels get cancelled.

By submitting a panel application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.

  • All panel content must comply with Bliss-Con’s Code of Conduct. Harassment, hate speech, or discriminatory content will not be tolerated.

  • Submitting a panel application is a commitment. Once your panel is accepted and scheduled, Bliss-Con is depending on you to show up on time and present your panel.

  • If you are unable to host your panel for any reason, you must notify Bliss Con immediately so that adjustments can be made.

  • Panelists should be comfortable speaking in front of an audience for approximately 45 minutes, the standard panel length.

    If you are not comfortable with public speaking, we encourage you to reconsider whether hosting a panel is the right fit.

  • The standard panel length is 45 minutes. A panel can be thirty (30) minutes and has a maximum length (with approval) of one (1) hour.

  • Each panel must be submitted individually. Do not submit multiple panels on one form.

  • Approved panels qualify for up to two (2) complimentary Panelist Badges per panel. The Lead Panelist listed on the application will receive one of these badges.

    Any additional panelists beyond the two complimentary badges must purchase a standard attendee badge price.


    You are able to purchase up to 4 more badges for presenting panelist. These badges are not to be used for vending. All panelist badges attendees must be a part of the panel.

  • Panel times and dates are subject to change up until the convention. Tentative schedules may be provided and final time and date will be confirm roughly 2 weeks before the convention.

  • Panelists are responsible for bringing their own laptops, adapters, or special equipment. Bliss-Con will provide basic a/v support, however, Panelists are responsible for any equipment they bring into help with their presentation.

  • Panels may not be used to sell or promote personal merchandise,

    • All applicants will be notified by email whether their panel was accepted or declined.

    Approved panels will be assigned time slots by Bliss Con staff. Specific times cannot be guaranteed, though we will do our best to accommodate reasonable requests.

  • If you cancel day of the convention or fail to appear for your scheduled panel without notifying Bliss-Con, it may affect your eligibility to host panels at future events.

  • Please do not engage in any reckless, dangerous, or destructive behavior that could endanger yourself, others, or venue property. This includes, but is not limited to: Smashing or breaking objects, Introducing hazardous or ingestible items (e.g., hot sauces, unknown substances), Using weapons or realistic props without prior approval, performing unsafe stunts or demonstrations, and forcing audience participation without consent
